Bob is an emerging artist based in St. Louis, MO where they have honed their skills and developed a unique artistic voice. With a passion for painting in the abstract, Bob explores themes of self-awareness and place through their work, often drawing inspiration from everyday occurrences and scenes 

Artistic Journey Drawn to art as a child they would put any artistic aspirations away for several decades, only to rediscover a passion for creating during the pandemic. Inspired by artists such as Alma Thommas, Oliver Jackson, Lee Kasner, Jackson Polack, and the entire abstract expressionist movement. Finding that through art it is possible to release and express emotion in ways not possible otherwise. Discovering fulfillment in connecting art with social justice programs and community building. 

Medium and Style They are a painter who uses oils and acrylics with a blend of mixed media. Their brush strokes are expressive and gestural with a leaning towards abstract or impressionistic work. Bright and uncommon color combinations highlight the work with a tendency to lift the paint right off the surface to give the work more physical depth and texture.
